The recent work from Austin photographer Kathryn Watts-Martinez can be described as old world and timeless. She has been experimenting with several old photographic processes from the early 1800's like Platinum/Palladium, Kallitype, and more recently the Argyrotype process. All have proven to be a challenge but well worth the results.
Her work is timeless, it's hard to tell if these images are recent or from a hundred years ago. She currently has 20 different images and is still busy photographing floral and other still life subjects with her 4x5 and 8x10 cameras as well as local architectural subjects and old churches. The Argyrotype process gives the images a warm brown/amber tone.
